Each summer and January, as part of the International Professional Development Schools (IPDS) consortium, School of Education faculty and staff lead cohorts through teach and study abroad programs meant to globalize students' understanding and experience of education. Participants connect with host families, conduct educational research, participate in field experiences in local schools, and engage in a variety of cultural activities. While abroad, participants share their reflections and growth through online blogs. Join the journey...read our recent Chile, Dominican Republic, Germany, and Italy blogs now! And visit the Teach and Study Abroad page to learn about upcoming travel opportunities.
Contributions from alumni, community members, and campus faculty and staff supply direct educational assistance and advancement opportunities for current students who are focused on serving children and communities through teacher education careers.
