"Education has allowed me to positively impact the future opportunities available to numerous students and colleagues."
Baumgarten, inspired by his own teachers, sought a career that would give other students the same kind of motivation and support. Buffalo State’s excellence in academics and reputation for producing quality teachers wasn’t the only deciding factor for Baumgarten, but the university’s successful athletic program as well. After years of teaching and holding positions in school administration, Baumgarten has been appointed superintendent of a school district with nearly 10,000 students. A staggering number, but Baumgarten feels confident about his new position and the opportunity to continue his passion, which is, “to support students to get the highest quality education possible.”
