Buffalo State University will host Bengala 2023—the 26th annual Foundation Scholarship Gala—on Saturday, April 29, in the Campbell Student Union. Proceeds from the formal event support Buffalo State students through emergency financial assistance and academic scholarships. Since the signature fundraiser began in 1998, the gala has raised roughly $6 million for student support.
This year’s event features a theme of celebration—celebrating our students, the career of President Conway-Turner, and our status as a university. Guests can expect a festive ambience with vibrant colors and music.
Stacy E. Lewis Beauford, ’01, and Michael J. Garner, ’83, serve as this year’s event co-chairs, while M&T Bank is the presenting sponsor.
The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and a live auction at 7:00 p.m., a celebration program at 8:00 p.m., and dancing and desserts. Festive clothing and dancing shoes are encouraged. Complimentary valet parking will be available in Cleveland Circle.
Individual tickets for Bengala are $250 and may be purchased on the Bengala website. Additional sponsorship packages are still available as well.
