On Saturday, October 9, Live Nation presents social media comedy sensation “Trey Kennedy: The Are You for Real? Tour,” for two shows, at 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. Kennedy first found fame while attending college at Oklahoma State University, amassing more than 2.5 million followers on the mobile app Vine. Since then, his unique comedy videos have expanded his platform to over 10 million combined followers on Instagram and Facebook. He is currently creating entertaining content and podcasts across his social media while traveling the road performing to sold-out crowds everywhere.

Re-opening officially begins Saturday, September 11, at 8:00 p.m. with a belated birthday celebration for cool jazz giant Dave Brubeck, who would have turned 100 years old in 2020! To celebrate, the Brubeck Brothers Quartet is playing more than 50 national tour dates for the “100 Years: The Dave Brubeck Centennial Celebration Tour.”
For the Buffalo date, which is presented by Soul of Buffalo, the Brubecks will be joined by special guest and hometown favorite saxophonist Bobby Militello, who toured with Brubeck for three decades (1982–2012) and joined him on 20 studio recordings.
Dave Brubeck’s sons, Chris and Dan Brubeck, who performed and recorded with their father since the 1970s, have curated this multimedia show. Joined by guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb, and through stories told by Chris and Dan and music performed by the quartet, the show invites audiences to travel the timeline of Dave Brubeck’s extraordinary life and career.
And, on Saturday, October 23, at 8:00 p.m., the Performing Arts Center welcomes acclaimed violinist Damien Escobar, presented by M&T Bank. The NAACP Image Award nominee and Billboard chart-topping artist first received national recognition performing with his brother in the group “Nuttin but Stringz” on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. He released his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2013 and made appearances on the Today Show and Oprah Winfrey’s “The Life You Want” tour. After the release of his second album, Boundless, Escobar went on to inspire change and spread positivity through his music by sharing uplifting messages and telling unfiltered personal stories to sold-out crowds across the county.
On Wednesday, October 6, at 8:00 p.m., Funtime presents an Evening with David Sedaris, one of America’s preeminent humor writers. Known for his personal essays and short stories, including Calypso, a Washington Post Best Book of the Year, Sedaris has been nominated for five Grammy Awards (Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album). His pieces regularly appear in the New Yorker, and the first volume of his diaries, Theft By Finding: Diaries (1977–2002), was a New York Times best seller. More than 16 million copies of his books are in print and have been translated into 32 languages.
