It’s hard to imagine a couple better suited to each other than Dan Paveljack, '69, '72, and his wife, Shirlee Collins Paveljack, '68, '72. Both are gracious and friendly, and they share a love of art. They also shared very similar careers.
Shirlee grew up in Buffalo’s Bailey-Lovejoy neighborhood. "I always wanted to be a teacher," she said. Dan, a Lackawanna native, started his career teaching industrial arts in Lackawanna High School. They agree that Buffalo State was the place to go to become a teacher.
Although their attendance at Buffalo State overlapped, they didn’t meet until a party in the 1980s. "We’ve been together ever since," said Shirlee.
